Credit Report Online

There are three credit bureaus in the United States that provide credit reports. They are Equifax Credit Bureau, Experian Credit Bureau and Trans Union Credit Bureau. Every person has a right to view his or her credit report according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Nowadays people can view their credit report online too by paying the fee.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act also allows consumers to make legal claims and sue the credit reporting agencies if there is any false or wrong information in their credit reports. If debt collectors provide wrong or misleading information you can take legal action. You can always get a free credit report if your loan is refused. You can then check the credit report for errors and fill out a form to get them rectified.

Many websites help you in securing your credit report. You need to just go to their websites and get everything online. A lot of companies have cropped up that advertise their willingness to help in case of credit report inaccuracies. What you need to keep in mind is that these companies can do only what you can do if you have the time. The credit bureaus take the stipulated time and rectify errors if there are any. What they require is that the errors should be brought to their notice. You can use the services of such companies if you do not have the time. However, bear in mind, that you need not pay the companies until such time that your errors are removed. If the company or person asks for money in advance be wary as it could be a scam.
